Volunteers and Slugs

I just visited my little garden and found a slug eating one of the volunteer marigolds.  Then I found several other slugs on one of my tiny zucchini plants.  We had flying slugs in our backyard this evening.  I flung them as far from the garden as possible, but I'm sure there are more.  I hear they like drowning their sorrows in beer.  Anybody want to buy me a bottle?

I don't want to poison my yard with herbicides and pesticides.  Flowering weeds and poisonous berries are welcome here.  But not slugs.

I gave up and got slug bate for my garden in Utah. They are fast eaters.

My grandpa used to buy cheap beer for the slugs.
